  • FREE REPRESENTATION UNIT (Employment)
  • I am a qualified FRU Representative and have worked on a number of cases.
  • I have experience in having advised and prepared a disability discrimination case that settled before the hearing. I obtained a favourable settlement for the claimant in a sex discrimination case (on the grounds of pregnancy) and appeared in the Employment Tribunal at a Case Management Discussion and a Pre-Hearing Review. I was also instructed by a Law Centre to represent a client in a two day hearing for unfair dismissal in July 2011.
  • NLS LEGAL ADVICE CLINIC.
  • I obtained experience as an adviser with Nottingham Law School’s legal advice clinic. I advised a client who feared a potential claim for a property related matter that had been estimated to be worth over £1.5 million. Unfortunately, the client’s buildings insurance had lapsed at the time of the offending incident. My role was to assess the possible implications of the incident and identify where liablity may lie and any possible damage limitation strategies.
